Jamorama online guitar lessons or private guitar lessons?

27th October 2009

I’m just a beginner and I want to get better at guitar. I looked at the online guitar course Jamorama, but not sure whether this even works or is something that would really help me. Private lessons seem really expensive. Just wondering if this is a good replacement…

Well, here’s the deal. I’ve heard some people be really down about online guitar lessons like Jamorama and the likes. They will say it didn’t do a lot for them, but if you then ask them how much they practiced, you’ll find out they hardly practiced…

Online guitar lessons like Jamorama do work, but just like anything else, you have to put WORK into it to get something out of it! If you’re willing to put forth the practice, then go with Jamorama. Here’s a good review on Jamorama if you’re interested:

The nice thing about private lessons is that it does, to a certain level, keep you accountable to practicing, but in the end, how much you practice, is ultimately dependent on you! Don’t blame your instructor or the guitar course if you’re not getting better when you’re not even practicing. :)
